A decentralized, overcollateralized stablecoin issued by the MakerDAO protocol on Ethereum, soft-pegged to the USD. Collateral includes crypto assets and RWAs deposited into Maker vaults, with governance handled by MKR and SKY token holders. It is one of the longest-running decentralized stablecoins in DeFi.
