A Sans Serif subgroup built from elementary geometric shapes such as near-perfect circles, straight lines, and consistent angles, with minimal or no visible Stroke contrast. Geometric typefaces typically feature optically circular Bowl, a single-story lowercase a, a strictly vertical Axis / Stress, and a clean, rational aesthetic rooted in Bauhaus and modernist design principles. Futura (1927), designed by Paul Renner, is the archetypal geometric sans. While visually striking, their rigid geometry can reduce Legibility in extended body text compared to Humanist Sans Serif or Grotesque Sans Serif alternatives.
